E-Berk Tunnel & Foundation has become the 862nd R&D Center on April 2018, approved by the ministry of technology and science with Omer Gunduz R&D facility. Since then, we are proudly continuing national and international projects with the support of governmental agencies, which will bring renovations and efficiency to tunneling business. Our operations are held on a 2716 m2 facility area with 27 personnel who are experts on the area with years of experience.
On Oct 2018, EPB Micro TBM (EM-2301) with the diameter of 2450 mm, to be used in Rades 450 mW Combined Cycle Power Plant Coolant Water Transmission Twin Tunnels in Rades/Tunisia, has been produced successfully within 22 weeks and became the first domestic manufactured micro TBM on Turkey..
On annual average with the result of our great effort has been made in our R&D center, we are successfully finalizing 5 R&D projects. Those projects are led E-Berk to get the most prestigious awards on heavy industry such as “Star of the Unique Products, by Turkish Exporters Assembly, on November 2nd 2018”. Also, Mr. Özgür Savaş Özüdoğru who is the Chairman of board, awarded with “Young Entrepreneur” honorary title for “R&D/Domestic Production, by Ankara Chamber Of Commerce, on February 2nd 2019”.
On June 2019, we have successfully completed production of first EPB TBM (E-3302) with the diameter of 2450 mm to be used in Ergene Waste Water Deep Discharge Tunnels Network Project with the support of TUBITAK. On the design phase, we also developed various projects focused on increasing safety and efficiency of TBMs and combined these projects to acquire a design registration certificate. As well as design registration certificate, Omer Gunduz R&D Center has patented or patent pending technologies on TBMs. In addition to these, continuous research is carrying out by our R&D expert staff.
